TD-SCDMA Standard Wins Approval from 3GPP

According to an announcement by ZTE, the 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) recently approved an international TD-SCDMA standard, TR 34.943, as a 3G mobile communications standard. TR 34.943 was promoted by ZTE in cooperation with Datang Mobile and China's Research Institute of Telecommunications Transmission. ZTE and its partners expect the approval to accelerate the TD-SCDMA testing process, and stimulate international acceptance of the TD-SCDMA standard.
